Meet the Staff
Premier Sports Medicine is a multidisciplinary clinic located in Soldotna, Alaska, led by sports chiropractor Brian Larson, DC, DACBSP®, and his experienced medical team. The practice’s philosophy is centered on two key goals: restoring the proper motion and position of bones and ligaments, and utilizing top-tier physical therapy to strengthen the muscles that hold everything in place. By applying innovative and integrative treatments, they help your body reach its full potential, allowing you to overcome injury and chronic pain effectively.
About Dr. Larson & Premier Sports Medicine
Dr. Brian Larson began practice in July 2003, completing an internship at Larson Chiropractic under his preceptor, Dr. Daniel Larson (uncle). His sports experience began hands-on working with Dr. Dan with Wasilla Highschool football team and a plethora of athletes and chiropractic patients around the Valley. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Western States Chiropractic College (now the University of Western States) in September 2003. In December 2003 he began volunteering as the Palmer High School team physician to all sports, while working full-time treating patients and athletes in-clinic. In May 2004 Dr. Brian earned his Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician certificate through the American Board of Chiropractic Sports Physicians, and continued treating chiropractic patients and athletes of all ages and many different schools all over the State of Alaska over the next five years.
In August 2009, Dr. Brian and wife Cheryl, and family (one daughter and four sons) relocated to the Kenai Peninsula, opening Premier Chiropractic Clinic and began volunteering again in the high schools helping athletes of all sports, working as the Soldotna High School team physician and assisting programs at Kenai, Skyview, Cook Inlet Academy and even Nikiski and Homer as well as state-wide schools. In April 2015 Dr. Larson became a Chiropractic Sports Physician earning his Diplomate certification with the American Board of Chiropractic Sports Physicians, joining approximately three hundred active, elite physicians world-wide engaged in the specialty of non-surgical sports medicine in collegiate, professional and Olympic sports. This began the current 17-year run on the Peninsula as the on-field team doctor with Soldotna High football.
Premier Chiropractic became Premier Sports Medicine, a true multi-disciplinary practice focusing on treating non-surgical sports injuries and referring to top surgeons throughout Alaska and across the United States as the injury may require.
Perhaps the greatest benefit of being trained at the most elite level of non-surgical sports medicine has been the opportunity to participate with his own children through their sports careers in Wasilla and Soldotna. Two of Dr. Larson’s sons played football for Sohi, Gavin earning All-Conference and All-State honors at center. And the youngest son, Isaac has chosen to follow in his father’s footsteps and will be returning to Soldotna after graduation from the University of Western States as a Doctor of Chiropractic, in September 2026 to join the practice.
In addition to volunteer service with schools, Dr. Larson was voted by the Alaska Chiropractic Society as Chiropractor of the Year 2023-2024. He was also appointed by Governor Bill Walker in 2017 and reappointed in 2021 by Governor Mike Dunleavy to the Alaska Board of Chiropractic Examiners, serving 7 of the 8-year appointment as Chair. While serving as chairman of the Board of Examiners Dr. Larson had the opportunity to interact with chiropractic educators and regulators across the United States.
